Empowered Community Choices provides an aquatic therapy program that is 1:1 with the client and a therapy assistant. The program is designed for children, teens and adults who wish to improve their movement skills, build fitness, manage sensory behaviours, and develop swimming and water safety skills. A supportive, structured 1:1 aquatic therapy program focused on skills, safety, and regulation.

A typical session may include

Arrival & settling in

A calm start helps the client feel comfortable in the pool environment and ready to participate.

Warm-up & movement practice

Water-based movement activities to support movement skills and build fitness in a supported way.

Skills & water safety

Practice swimming and water safety skills, adjusted to the client’s needs and comfort level.

4

Cool-down & transition out

A gentle finish to support regulation and an easier transition at the end of the session.
